This September marks eight years of Transform: The Leaders’ Gathering an event hosted by Worship Harvest Ministries under the Harvest Institute by the School Of Leadership.

In the past leaders from all spheres of influence have shared the Transform stage to tell their stories and inspire more leaders under the themes of; Harnessing influence, Multiplying Influence, Break Out, Beyond Survival, etc, and this year under the Theme SOAR, the gathering will be held on the 3rd — 4th September 2021 virtually.

I attended my first Transform gathering in 2018, under the theme Multiplying Influence, thanks to Pr Ary Mukisa. The sessions revolutionized my thinking given I was just out of campus and was trying to figure out what next. Pastor Muriithi Wanjau of Mavuno Church coined what informed my Mantra for the weeks following the conference: “There is no true success without a successor.” I picked up on this and ensured continuity of Advance Kyambogo, especially after many of our leaders had gone to plant Worship Harvest Makerere, leaving a leadership vacuum. I made sure I left leaders who led well and still lead in different spaces: Felix Owen wears many hats in youth ministry spaces, Moreen Mwesige still leads the Catalyst fellowship under Worship Harvest Naalya while Martha Apio is moving mountains at Worship Harvest Mukono. Pastor M has an inspiring story about succession, which he combined with Moses’ retirement speech from Deuteronomy 31: 1–8. (See me for my personal notes😅)

“The true test of a person’s leadership is the health of the organisation when the organiser is gone.” — J. Oswald Sanders

At Transform we believe what John C. Maxwell said, that “Everything rises and falls on Leadership.” so we are deliberate on helping leaders navigate the disruption caused by COVID-19 in their businesses and organizations. Without doubt, the impact of the global pandemic has been felt in every industry. Therefore, this year we take time to celebrate those that have resiliently led their organisations, businesses and take lessons from their success stories.

To attend one MUST complete the registration process done via this link https://bit.ly/TransformUG21 to receive their own unique passcode allowing them to attend the gathering. There is no fee being charged to attend Transform, registration is how one gets in.

As part of the activities at the leaders gathering, we will have an awards ceremony to honour individuals and organizations that are causing transformation in their communities. Any organization or anyone doing something positive to add value to their community qualifies for The ACT award. To nominate someone or an organization, go to https://bit.ly/ActAward21

For the last years the event has been hosted physically but after the COVID19 pandemic effects we have adopted virtual conference which also helps reach many leaders around the world.

I’ll continue my series of Lessons from Transform: The Leader’s Gathering with a story about CASH!
